    Specifying Steel Cable Closure

    I am designing a steel cable (about 5 ft long) used to support 650 lbs from a bar joist. If I'm using a 1/8" dia 7x19 cable, how do I design / specify the closure of the cable assuming I'm going to loop it around the joist? Thanks for the help.
