Hi to All,
We usually work in europe and Asia, and now we have some projects in CANADA. They are requiring to follow B51 regulation. This is for pressure vessels above ground with liquid inside in GRP. Is anyone familiar with it? what secction shall we go? any suggestions?
many thanks to all...
Hello
we are involved in a project in Saudi Arabia. They are tanks made in grp. we cannot find in the standards (SBC 301) any way to find the sesismic calculation of theM, they deal with steel and cocrete but not with grp. (GLASS REINFORCED POLYESTER). they are ad-hoc developed tanks and we...
Hi to all,
We are involved in a project where we are making a first prototype and we found the following:
We have a pipe under pressure full of water and small circular openings. the diameter of the pipe is 50mm and the holes 5mm. we have 5 holes, pointing downwards. The water goes out to the...
Hi,
We are involved in a project and we are looking for a method to know the necessary flow rate to have a pipe completely full. On one side of the pipe we have a tank, on the other side the pipe is open. Any help, book reference or link will be very wellcome.
thanks

Hi to all,
Does anyone has worked with ASME X and AD-MERBLATT or EN13121-3 codes? These are desgin codes, for thickness calculation of pressure vessels in GRP. our question comes from the fact that the results are quite different in ASME and European codes. We have checked with other companies...
Hi to All,
we are trying to develop an air flow system where:
1) we have a pipe of certain diameter, let's say 50mm
2) we insert air in it at certain flowrate
3) we put slots along the pipe let's say about 0.4mm width and certain length
our idea is to keep certain pressure between the...
Hello
we produce GRP pressure vessel tanks. Up to now, we have always used either AD-MERKBLAT or BRISTISH standard codes for thickness calculations. The results are very similar.
In ASME, on the other hand, the thickness required seems to be too high compared to other standards (maybe we are...
Hello
EN 13121 standard and British Standard codes offer tanks calculations based on fiberglass properties, number of layers and so on.
however, ASME X takes the GRP tanks:
a)homogeneus material and uses thickness calculation
b) laminate material but the calculations seem to be so theorical...
Hello
there is a standard for Tanks and vessels above ground (13121-3), but does anyone knows if there is something similiar but including tanks underground?

Hi to all!
Is there a web page o sort of "starting guide document" so that one can have a look of the latest pressure vessel directives, regulations and starndards?
thanks !
