    Change in Engineering Direction

I have been working as a design engineer for the last 4 1/2 years in the light engineering sector. Although I enjoy my job most of the time I am considering a move into building engineering. I think (although I am basing this on work I did in between engineering jobs when working on building...

    Sore arm and Shoulder

I use CAD on a dailly basis (over the last 4 years) and over the last month or so I have developed pain in my right shoulder, arm, hand and neck. I went to a physiotherapist who thinks it may be the beginning of RSI but is unsure at the moment. I have bought a wrist pad for both keyboard and...

    Lightweight Red Feather!?

Does anyone know why in SW 2005 there are two colours of feather when parts are loaded in lightweight. Some are light blue and some are red. I thought it might be due to an error on the part but it would appear that even some parts that have no errors still have the red feather!!

    Two Design Trees

Can anyone tell me why I always end up with two design trees when working on an assembly and if there is any way to stop it. I would prefer one larger one if you pardon the expression as each screen invariably shows the same bits/mates. Any help would be appreciated. Stu

    Rapid Oxidation of Copper

Does anyone here know of a process that can be carried out to rapidly oxidise copper. The process would ideally be something that could be carried out by hand rather than passing an electrical charge through it. The application is for a piece of medical equipment. I would also be interested to...

Recently moved to SW2003. Running a 1.4 Mhz processor with 512Mb ram and a 32 Mb Geforce graphics card. Since we started using SW2003 whenever I suppress something in an assembly SW crashes and gives an error message saying it has processed an unhandled error. It also happens if I save...
