We have some CFD work to do, (Extract air flow with high pressure jets impinging on a surface for cleaning). We have to decide between Ansys and Cosmos Floworks. Obviously Ansys is up to the task, and we have already done some work on the problem. The temptation is there to go with Cosmos...
We are a small machine design affair trying to control the mess of components and BOM's we've created with Epicor.
Has anybody had any bad experiences moving into this software and if so any advice on how to make the transition less painful?
I am looking at modelling the airflow exiting a tiny air knife incident on a surface. The dimensions of the system are as follows:
25 micron gap by 8 mm long nozzle exit to athmospheric pressure. air at about 5 bar is used.
the knife is at about 45 degrees to the horizontal and about 3mm above...
I'm having trouble using the E-drawings viewer with suppliers. One of them in particular is calling me claiming there are dimensions missing on the drawings when he views them even though i can see them on my system.
Has anyone else had this problem? He's using Edrawings version 2 as am I.
