Does anyone have a way to upload an HMI project with the new Siemens Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA)?
Uploading the PLC project is bad enough with having to cut and paste on-line project to new project.
I'm developing an application that requires a finely atomized oil mist in a hot environment. Any ideas on a simple way to reduce the flammability other than flooding the chamber with CO2 or Nitrogen? Any clever ways to get O2 out of fire triangle in an oil mist?

I've been fighting the vendor-specific motion control software battle for a while, have just come across the PLCopen association. Is anyone using this function block based programming? Does this association fit the same kinda role as OPC for industrial ethernet comms?

I've got a 85" long 6 lane vibratory part feeding track. Parts are sticking at random places. Any recommendations on moveable transducers or accelerometers I can use with an Oscope (looking at 4 channel scopes) to look at the vibration?
