    gear pump or air diaphragm pump -- skimmed oil & recovered oil serv.

    Hello everyone, We need to specify some pump type for skimmed/recovered oil transportation. It seems both gear pump and air diaphragm pump applicable for this service. Could you please advise which one is better and why it's that? Your help would be appreciated. Thx first. Stonetech

    API 675 states that direct mechanical diaphragm pump is out of the scope. does that refer to the air controlled diaphragm pump? if air diaphragm can't refer to API 675, does that mean only manufacturer's standard applicable? Thanks for your information.
