I am looking for a program that will turn my laptop computer into a Master to control a VFD using PROFIBUS.
I have used MODSCAN 32 to do the same thing using MODBUS. This program works great.
The idea is to test, run the VFD with PROFIBUS.

I have two of these rascals, EPOCH-10 relay test sets and I want to use them in a master/slave configuration.
My instruction book does not tell very well how to do this.

NEC 517.17 says one needs two levels of ground fault protection.
Does a TVSS, surgre protection equipment, breaker need GFP? The main breaker has GFP and all of the feeder breakers have GFP. Does the feeder breaker to the TVSS need GFP?

Are there any benefits from grounding the neutral on a Y-D transformer? This is a small 750 KVA, 13.8KV to 2.3 KV. The secoundary, 2300 volt side is ungrounded. The 13.8KV that supplies this transformer is grounded.
I am looking for any rules of thumb about sizing synchronous motor field discharge resister. One just has motor name plate data. I want to keep the discharge voltage around 500 volts, as I will be using a solid state field applacation panel.
