ARP5935 para 3.6, for type 1, requires Rmr 70 - 90% at C0=5% and C1=.25Rz.
our grinder never met 70-90%.
do you know any one can do it? what special process?
thanks.
the first Inventor file shows an endmill cutting, but it would be not the right way to model it. (the .25R corner next to the small hole)
the second file, used fillet radius, but it does not represent the actual part.
how to do it...
Pin gauge.
if it is marked 1.000-, what the exact diameter it is?
no class is etched on it.
as I read, (-) means no-go. so it would be smaller than 1.000000". but by how much?
thanks.
i like to define a custom thread. 1,625 major diameter, and 56 pitch.
mil-s-8879 says the pitch diameter tolerance per ASTM B1-1. i could not find it in B1-1.
help me to find all the diameters/tolerance, major, pitch, minor, male and female.
thanks.
anyone knows an industry standard of this type metal seal?
thanks.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=cdfd9714-1c88-4871-9fc9-bae2aafd0433&file=seal_back.JPG
I tried to find more info to educate myself about SINGLE (yes, SINGLE) point thread rolling, I could not find any info. how it is done, who is doing.
shine any light for me?
thanks.
the requirement:
Ra 2 to 4 microiches
Rz 40 micorinches max
Rp 8 microinches max
bearing ratio, shall be 70 - 90% when measured at a depth P = 0.25 Rz.
where/how i interpret the attached measurement about bearing area ratio...
the minimum ignition energy is 100 micro joules. we have a pressure switch rated 28 VDC at 0.5 amp to be installed in a fuel tank.
how can we show any spark/arc (during break and make) is below 100 micro joules?
thanks.
say a forging, produces a desired grain flow.
annealing will not affect that grain flow, right? and keep the benefit of the grain flow, right?
only solution heat treatment will remove the grain flow, right?
thanks.
FORTUNE 500
(COUPLE DAYS AGO, I POSTED "FORTUNE 500". I WAS NOTIFIED THERE WERE 5 OR MORE FOLLOW UP THREADS, WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN IT, I GOT SYSTEM ERROR RESULTED TO RESET MY PASSWORD.... AND MY POST WAS GONE.)
is this position tolerance correctly specified ? if not, the supporting ASME Y14.5...
anyone know the way of this test for
it is a pressure switch to monitor the hydraulic pressure. (like your home well water pump switch.) It is just a pair of on-off contacts. In old days, +28 VDC in, thru the switch out to the lamp, then go back to -28 VDC. (nowadays, maybe lower voltage and mA...
the pressure drop of a fuel valve needs to be measured (tested). one end of it is a bellmouth and the other Gamah fitting. the flow rate in 120 gpm. searched online and could not find a lab. anyone have some info?
thanks.
can a feature's position tolerance having itself as a datum?
i like to control the hole location real tight ref to main axis and end plane, but it could be loose relative to flange orientation.

here is a SQUARE WIRE torsion spring. if you zoom in at the 90 degree bend, you can see the mis-match.

thanks.
