I am just trying to know more about the product, why a panel originally labeled at 208V 3ph 4w would not work at 240V, 3ph 4w. All the breakers are 240V and main is 600V. I am struggling to get feedback from manufacturer. I understand that there might be a certification issue, but technically...
I run across the exact same situation as thread 248-355633, IEEE 998 covers substation protection but doesn't mention buildings. what standard should be used for buildings or how is IEEE998 applied to buildings?
Hi, what exactly is the difference between triplex and 3C cables in terms of ampacity. IEEE 835 refers to triplex cables and it could be interpreted that they would be applicable to 3C cables.
I got a comment from an inspector in Canada that a VFD should be specifically be rated to power 2 motor simultaneously if intended for that application (he is referencing the CSA 28-500 (3-d), which refers to motor controllers in general, not specifically VFD's). I can't find any reference for...

Previous answer to this thread says that Canadian inspector determined that a barrier is required even for TECK cable. This would defeat the purpose of TECK cable and CEC code 36.100 explicitly references only to TC (tray cable) to require a barrier. Is there any experience...
Hi, I can't find any reference in code about using same precast trench to lay HV, LV and Communication cables in the same one. I would use a divider for the HV cable anyway. So, the question is if I can use the same trench (not direct buried but precast) at all. I'd appreciate your help. Thanks, Gus
A generator is to supply power for VFD drives. Is the effect of harmonics a concern on the generator tripping? Would the voltage variation due to vfd operation fool the generator to trip into operation?
