    Affects of steam on hydrocarbons

Would anybody know if there is a chemical reaction in cylinder bore between steam and hydrocarbons( left over from previous burn). If water is injected with heated and recompressed gases, would there be an action called reforming. Would gases like co,co2,nox be recombined to make heavier...

Chemical reaction of steam and other hydrocarbons

I would like to know the possibilty of chemical reforming of hydrocarbons present after combustion with high pressure and steam at different temps. Could co,co2,and nox be reformed into heavier percipitates that could be scrubbed for cleaner emissions

    Expansion rate for steam

I would like to find out if steam expands faster than the explosion rate for dieseland if there are different rates of expansion due to pressure and heat of steam.
