Vacuum Furnace Brazing IN-713 with BNi-2

I am particularily interested in any comments related to the pre-braze preparation for IN-713 using BNi-2 braze alloy? Can this braze be accomplished without first applying a nickel plate of 0.0003-0.0006"? I have heard that only a nickel blast (Nicrobraze) can do the job.
