Hi Everybody!
I would like to make a non linear analysis whith FEMAP/NX Nastran which contains the following material definition:
- Temperature dependent Young modulus
- Temperature dependent Stress-strain curve
- Temperature dependent conductivity
- Temperature dependent Poisson number
I have...
How could I generate a material wich is temperature dependent.
I have tried on several tests the temperature dependent material, but it seems it is not working correctly. Could anybody send me a NEU file which is correct?

Irwin
I have tried the follwoing:
2 models with same mesh, force and temperature load and constrains.
The only difference is the material definition.
First model contains simple material definition for linear static load: E, nu, alfa and Tref
The second one is a little bit different: The E is...
I have temperature distribution at 0 s and I have another one at 1 s and another one at 2 s. Is it possible to use these temperature distributions as transient load for stress analysis?
If yes how? Where can I find a turorial or example?
Dear Everybody,
I would like to know in which case should I use primary/secondary analysis method and in which case the fatigue SN curve analysis during a pressure vessel analysis?

Dear Everybody,
I would like to know more about the limitation of sliding bearings.
What are the maximum values for total pressure, asperity contact and unit loads for 2,3 layered bearings and sputter bearings? What would be the minimum oil film thickness?
Have somebody any catalog of...
I made a very simple analysis. I created 1 shell element and I applied on the face 1 (top surface) a temperature and a konvektion and an another temperature/konvection pair to the bottom face (face 2). I got a temperature value for the element. The question is: what is the meaning of it?
(I...
I would like to know: How can I create a part with external features? I would create a sketch in a part and I would like to use this sketch in another part trough an assembly. How can I do that?
(I would like to know: is it possible to do something similar like the publish or copy geometry...
I had tried the laminate elements in NX/NASTRAN for Windows (FEMAP). How can I analyse any failure criteria value in this software? How can I plot it?
Irwin
Can anybody write: How can I see the bigger more difficult geometry in shaded mode? What should I switch off or on? What should I change in the settings? (The problem is, thje speed of the regeneration of the screen!)
Irwin
I made a misstake! The result in the f06 faile is not good. The FEMAP loaded correctly the output. So the right question is: How can I calculate the shear stress in beam or bar elements in NASTRAN? Is there any parameters?
Irwin
I tried with FEMAP, MSC/NASTRAN, NX/NASTRAN analyse a beam/bar structure. In the *.f06 I can see the shear stress data, but in the FEMAP not. What did I make bad?
Can any one help me?
