Never ending ??? The right computer for the job?!?!

I talked the wonderful IT folks at my company into an IBM (Lenovo) 2687D5U laptop after a few years of griping about performance issues. Anyone see anything wrong with this unit before I put my neck on the line? It's a one gigger with the 128 MB ATI Mobility FireGL V3200 graphics card. Processor...

    Solidworks on a MAC (apple)

I am running SW on an IBM T40. My lease is up at the end of the year, and the bossman says I can't replace it. Not sure why. Anyway, I wouldn't mind having a Powerbook, but I'm not too sure I can run SW, even using Virtual PC. Anyone know of any success stories.

    PVC/UR Blend Film/Sheet

Can anyone identify a ~25 mil pvc/urethane blend material in a shore A grade? It must be RF weldable and be able to contain some form of fire resistance. I've found plenty of soft pvc's and good welding urethanes, but I need to find the balance of soft feel and elasticity with durability and...

    COSMOSWorks

Anybody familiar with it? I'm considering purchasing, but I want to know just how user friendly it really is. Also, how versatile is it? What won't it let me do? I understand assemblies may not work so well. Any feedback is great.

Can anyone tell me what it means to xray to <2.0 mm Aluminum? I have a material that I need to have tested that when under xray must not exceed this amount. I do know that the machine used to do it is an 80kV unit.

Does anyone know if there is a method to calculate permeability of plastic film (ex. beach ball material)? Also, are there any test rigs available for testing samples of different materials?

    exit tank pressure

Using Bernoulli's Eq, I have attempted to calculate the exit air pressure and velocity of a system which consists of a tank (~5 gallon), 3" long 0.25" dia pipe, and an exit nozzle that is basically a cone shape (0.25" to 6" diameter). The tank will be pressurized to 10 psi. Why is my pressure at...
