I have a question about linear couplers and have not had much luck finding an answer. I have looked through all my protective relaying books, relay literature, and the internet. I also have asked two of my journeyman and a junior relay engineer for help. So far no one has been able to help me...
Are these the only differences between the two:
1. Circuit Switcher can interrupt more fault current then a Transrupter
2. Circuit switcher can be used on lines up to 230kv. While Transrupters are only rated up to 138kv.
I know a Transrupter is also only designed to be used for high side...
