Does anyone know if 7% Ni steel is now approved under API620 or AME VIII for LNG storage tanks? I know this has been used in Japan and the Middle East with huge cost savings but if I'm building a tank in North America I don't know if it's allowed.

Can anyone advise if a Korbogen Head (DIN 28013) is acceptable as an elliptical head as per ASME VIII div 1? I have a vendor who insists it is but when I look at the dimensions it does not seem to comply with ASME VIII.

CAn anyone tell me if the 2007 version of the API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 standard allows me to evaluate an Isolated Slag Inclusion (ISI as per API 1104) as an area of Local Metal Loss (Part 5). I know that porosity must be evaluated as Part 9 (crack) but I am unclear about the ISI.
