I need to estimate the oil pumping effect a plain thrust bearing has due to rotational speed. Then make a qualitative comparison to a similar bearing. Both bearings use the same thrust collars on the active and inactive sides but the babbit surfaces are slightly different.

Surely this is basic, I want to calculate the ideal bellmouth radius (and lenght?) for a 2" opening where the flow rate is about 900 cfm of air (assumed 28" H2O presure drop).
