    Helium Leak Testing

    I purchased a used Helium leak detector to perform some cryogenic testing on ball valves. The detector did not have a sniffing device. Do I need a specific sniffing device for a Leybold Ultratest F (expensive) or can I buy a generic device or can a device be manufactured?

    PMA for 4130 or ASTM A574

    Has anyone tried to create a particular material appraisal for ASTM A29, type 4130 materials? I am starting to look if there is a code case or some other data to tie in a pressure/temperature limit? Also need one for cap screws made from ASTM A574? Joe
