    does anybody have experience in operating LO-Cat plants? looking for feedback on potential operational or corrosion problems, any exotic materials which need to be used, special piping set ups with rodding tees?

    cooling rate

    does anybody have a formula for weld cooling time to prevent cracking in carbon steel welds ..ie 800-500degree temperature drop time? I got one but I think I set it up incorrectly into my spreadsheet as it gives wierd times

    aluminium corrosion product

    is there a liquid "solvent" which removes the white/yellow corrosion product from aluminium ? I am thinking of marine grade cast aluminium which has corroded in sea water..obviously the fluid cannot also eat out the aluminium casting in the process...Old sea dog

    does anybody have a method of calculating stresses in pressure vessel shells due to weight loaded brackets such as structural brackets. I know about the Bednar and Megyesy methods tks but they dont address brackets which have a A/B ratio outside the limits of 1.5 or between 1/2 and 2...

    coating on engine

    I asked this before but cant find it in the forum . I have a petrol motor which is coated internally with a thin brown deposit. it scrapes off easily . I think it is due to using a diesel lube oil in a petrolmotor..is there anything which will flush it out. maybe an additive in a flushing oil?
