Good evening.
So you have a shock with a floating piston in a chamber charged with nitrogen used to pressurize the fluid.
What are the advantages/disadvantages to using a spring behind the piston in place of the nitrogen?
Where would you install, pre ABS controller or after?
I am thinking before (being in between the master and the EBCU so that everything was working correctly.
What say you all?
Which is a better configuration for use with the "mid-valve", a check plate and a spring or a shim stack?
The application would be street/road racing.
I have always seen a spring and a check plate, but I recently heard that Honda has ditched this on the CBR1000RR in favor of a shim stack.

With a fuel pressure regulator you can go two ways, return type or non-return type.
Without factoring in the ease of not have to plumb the extra line for the return style, which setup is better? Is one better for carbs vs fuel injection?
Does anyone see any type of problem plumbing an engine so that oil exits the block, goes through a remote oil filter assembly, then out of the filter into a cooler and then back into the block?
The hose size used will be -10.
The engine is a GM 6.5L Turbo Diesel used in a 99 Suburban.
Thanks.
What is the best stuff to use?
Is there anything out there that will survive the heat in the exhaust port?
Also, where can you get the stuff that you are recommending?
