I am reponsible for 2 wastewater lagoons. During the last sampling event the ammonia nitrogen ( NH3-N ) has exceeded my permit. There is very little process control at these plants. Please advise as to what I can do to bring the level down. Thanks.

Is there any effective products on the market to prevent roots from obstructing sewer mains thus causing sewer back-ups that can potentially lead to overflows. Our present "fix" is to pressure clean, televise, and root cut the problem area which is fairly expensive.
A small 20,000 gpd package plant DMR states that we must have a .023mg/L chlorine residaul at the final effluent in order to comply with our permit. However, we have no instrumentation that will register this minute amount. It's not feasible at this point to spend $2500-3000 for a...
