I have been given a task to change the process of manufacturing of a cast aluminum enclosure from investment casting to die-casting.
1) Can someone pl. suggest me a die-cast alloy with same or better mechanical properties.

I have a small part (bushing) which is made up of 6061 Aluminum & bright Ni plated. I have seen severe corrosion of the material over time in marine environments. Can someone pl. suggest a cheap solution for the problem... short of replacing the Al. with exotic (& costlier materials).

I have a molded nylon 6 bracket approx. size 7x25x5mm. Can someone suggest alternative materials which could use the same tooling (similar shrinkages) but is a little more flexible?
