When I worked in medical devices we had engineering specifications for the materials, and called that spec out on the general notes of the drawing. Is GMP still a requirement?

BiPolarMoment, no, this was from an article about Franklin Armory and their new Reformation Rifle, having straight rifling and shooting "footballs". A copperclad round here would be very inaccurate I think.

I'd called out "FDM PRINTED" instead of an actual 3D printer brand, and maybe add your requirements for layer thickness. If you don't want your parts bonded together, add "NO SEAMS" or similar wording.

What load, what speeds?
One plate could have a D-hole. Shaft would have corresponding flat on one end, then grooves in the shaft for c-clips or e-clips inside the plates to prevent axial movement. Could complicate further by coining recesses in the plates so the ends of the shaft are flush with...
I once interviewed a candidate, we were looking for an engineer that was good with linear motion and controls. His resume indicated he designed a laser marking system with +/-.002" positional repeatability. When I asked him to describe his device he started using sounds effects.

This has happened to one (out of four) step pad on my 4yr old F-150 running boards. The peculiar thing is the pad that has deteriorated is in the least used position, rear passenger, driver side.

If a part is not backwards compatible, then it is considered a new part and should get a new part number. You are correct too, if FFF changes it should always be revised. The caveat is that some FFF changes should require a new part number as well. I also think it matters if you are building...
I would use a "master sketch" and save each one as a different files instead of using Configs, especially if you have multiple users.
