Siemens NX 2000: Pipe bend coordinates extracting

Hello all How can I extract a list of CNC coordinates for pipe bend, in Siemens NX 2000? (I don't know how, but my BEND REPORT command is inactive)

Bulk Attribute Change in TeamCenter 11.0 -unprivileged user-

Thank you. But ITEM_DESC is inactive and unchangeable on NX interface. Is there a way on Teamcenter or Command Manager?

Bulk Attribute Change in TeamCenter 11.0 -unprivileged user-

Hello Experts I need to change ITEM_NAME, ITEM_DESC or other attribute that I created of many items automatically. I found out tc_attribute_bulk_update; but it requires one to be DBA. I am not an admin, but the owner of items is me; so, is there any other way to perform this task?

    Sheet Metal Material Thickness Problem

Hello, I have a 4mm thick sheet, but in EXPRESSIONS window, thickness is displayed as 3mm (like a default value, I guess..) I will add Sheet_Metal_Material_Thickness as an attribute so, how can I get this value correct?

Bulk import of PDFs into Teamcenter 11.6

Dears, I have an NX assembly and PDF drawings for many parts and subassemblies in my hard drive. I want to import these into Teamcenter. Each PDF should exist under correct item on the tree ( as attached). Is there any automated way or command to perform this task? I heard this can be handled...

Premature drivetrain failures due to Single blade installation of wind turbines

Hi, thanks for reply.. But what I meant was not loads in operation. Excessive loads and moments in single blade installation (while building the turbine) is considered to cause local high stresses (maybe cracks) on drivetrain, which it is not intended to be designed for. This leads main bearing...

Premature drivetrain failures due to Single blade installation of wind turbines

Dears, Single Blade Installation has become quite common as wind industry develops. However some platform designers recommends cross installation instead of SBI, due to excess moments on main bearing and gearbox, occuring in installation process. Are there any tools, methods or service...

Exceeding PV limit of a plain bearing

I am talking about not instantaneous exceeding, but a continuous operation. I am, actually, trying to understand what is this "PV" thing analogous in strength of materials; the yield strength or the endurance limit of fatigue concept?

Exceeding PV limit of a plain bearing

Hi, What if I exceed the recommended PV value of a bearing? Does it become useless (break, gall or seize) rapidly, or does only its life shortens? And when these PV values are determined, are the manufacturers stick to any standard of ISO, ASTM...? Thx

    PV Limit for steel bearings

Hello, Some earthmoving machinery have hardened steel bushings instead of bronze ones. They are made of x MnCr 4/5 and hardened to +50 HRC. I need the PV value of such bushings. Internet is full of information for the new ones (sintered bronze/graphite, PTFE etc...) But There is no info for...

    Multibody problem in SolidWorks 2007

Hi all, In SolidWorks 2007, I'm trying to save an assembly as a multibody part. As the tutorial says, I'm opening the "Save As" dialog box and click ".prt, .sldprt" as filetype. The tutorial in "Help" says that 3 check boxes below should appear, but they don't! Exterior Faces Exterior...

Shrink fit of bronze-graphite bushings by liquid nitrogen

Hi, In industry, bushings can be fit in their housings by cooling first (generally in liquid nitrogen) and then letting them expand again in the housing. This method seems quite reliable when the bushing material is homogeneous. But what if the bushing is a self lubricating bronze-graphite...

Weld type dependence of S - N (wohler) curves in fatigue analysis

Thx Ron, could you give me a referance material about: "Weld location and type could affect the slope of the S-N curve"

Weld type dependence of S - N (wohler) curves in fatigue analysis

Good Days, A problem that I recently come across is confusing. As far as I know, for a certain type of material, say 1040 steel, the slope of the wohler curve is constant (3 for normal stress & 5 for shear stress), for any type of weldment. But a document that we recently obtain tells that...

    a laboratory balance

Hello, I am seeking a laboratory balance with nearly 4000g capacity and 1mg resolution. I searched for the brands like scaltec, sartorius but could not find. There may not be one having this much capacity and such a low resolution, but, nevertheless, I wonder anyone - closer to satate of art...
