Design values do exist. Contact AF&PA for guidance. Also the ANSI TPI addresses this issue regarding bolted hangers on bottom chords of trusses. Good luck.

Putting the brick issue aside; it is best to design desi.gn the deck system as free standing. Virginia Tech has done a great deal of research on the subject matter as well as attachment of rail posts to deck. I would definitely design the deck as free standing.

Apparently, Para 123-b of WCLIB refers to grading requirements for structures (rather than sign posts, fences,etc.), specifically, No. 1 and better, grade for materials 2" to 4" nominal thick, 5" nominal and wider (Structural joists and planks)
