Thanks Mr.Swertel, It’s really a good web site, I got all my required data. I found the impact value of metal are given in J but for Polymer in J/cm, Can u give me some idea, How to get metal(steel) impact value in terms of J/cm.(cm is meant for thickness of the specimen)?
Hi I’m ls-dyna3d user, I was trying to use structural foam in Impact application using MAT57(Low density foam).I have noticed the material card doesn’t have Poisson value field. My question is, foams are having the Poisson value or not?
Any input by someone with expertise in this area is greatly...
Any one can give the Impact strength value of general Application steel and Aluminium(J/m).Please let me clarify which one would absorb maximum amount of impact energy and why?

I would like to know the difference between low density and High density foam used in Energy absorption application (Automotive) and which factor would differentiate the above. Any explanation by someone with expertise in this area is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
