What discharge pressure do you have for these compressors?
1200psig
a) Are each of these machines fitted with auto emergency depressurisation / blowdown valves?
Yes
b) What is the separation distance between each compression train ?
25m
c) Will you auto blowdown...
Thanks you David.
my question arises because our people here, are having a discussion about how near an abandoned well can be built the foundation of a compressor. Civil engineers say that could be compromised the integrity of the foundation if it is built very close to the abandoned well. I am...
Greetings to all.
I'm in a new project to install five natural gas compressor 120 mmscfd each.
In two of the possible installation sites, there are oil wells constructed in the 50s and nearly 30 years of being abandoned.
My question to you is: Is there a code or standard that indicates the...
Good Day to All.
According to ASME B31.3 parag 345.2.6, it's mandatory to retest piping that have additions after leak test. But there is an exception that allows the owner to avoid this requirement by taking extra precautions. In your experience, what should be those extra precautions? what...
hi everybody.
I am preparing a document of technical specifications for hydrostatic testing, and I doubt with tests in the lines made of tubing. Which standard applies for tubings? which test medium is used in the case of tubing for chemical injection or for CO2 supply.
If there is a related...

Thanks for your answers.
The tank has a central column which supports the roof and circumferential and radial beams.
Never snows around here. There is an attached drawing.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=139d8a4e-4759-458c-b80c-30aefc58526d&file=roof_and_column_view.pdf

Answering your question:
Does the tank have a functioning overflow? yes
Size of the overflow = Ø4" designed for a rate of filling of 6 L/s
Rate of fill during the incident = aprox 50 L/s
Because of a failure in the filling control system of the tank, the roof and the last shell course were plastically deformed, as you can see in the pictures of the attached file. Our Construction crew want to weld a thinner shell over deformed shell, but I am not agree with this solution. My...
Good morning,
want to ask the following: What considerations should be taken into account for welding pipelines API 5L X52 (OD Ø6,625", SCH STD e=0,280) with API 5L Grade B (OD Ø6,625", SCH STD e=0,280)?
if there is a post with the same question or similar, please send me the URL.
Regards.

Hi... I have some pictures of a 35000 barrels water tank that was overfilled. The roof-shell joint has now a visible plastic deformation. I´m posting one picture here. If you want, I could post more.
The tank was designed to receive 6 L/s with a 4" inlet nozzle. The overfill nozzle is 4". During...
inspecting a skid mounted pumps for condensed gas, we found that the reducer accesorie on suction, has a welded fitting (sockolet with valve for drain) attached to. The QA QC inspector says that is not correct, because it isn´t permited to weld on any suction or discharge reducer, but he is not...
At this moment we´re having some troubles with the procurement of pipes and pipe accesories, and we have in stock some that we want to use, but, with diferent especification. My question is:
Which considerations must be taken in the case of welding a 36"x30" swage ASTM A860 WPHY 70, (0.875" x...
