multiphase buck with single output inductor?

If the MOSFETs are all controlled with a single PWM, why not build a current control loop to control the PWM.

    AutoCAD Electrical Wiring

Is there an easy way to do some electrical wiring diagrams in AutoCAD without AutoCAD Electrical?

    Replacing MG set

Your right on track, the 180Hz is used to excite our x-ray tubes. The DC is mainly for the exciter to control the voltage for the generator (90-240V)

    Replacing MG set

Hi all, So we have an old, old equipment from the 40's that is using an MG (motor-generator) set. We are thinking about replacing this MG set with a solid-state power supply or another MG set with today's motor technology. What do you guys think? Inputs: -30kW, 3 phase 440V, 60Hz Output...

biasing a mosfet or heating issue

LionelHutz, I also thought that it's a dead-time as well. It's possible that there's a shoot through. I had this problem on my buck converter, the high side transistor gets extremely hot under no load.

    Level or Displacement Sensors

Great suggestion, I'll take a look into prox sensors. I found a controller that has 6 analog inputs and will probably be using it to make decisions off of the analog output sensor. Thanks for the help.

    Level or Displacement Sensors

So i'm trying to find a touch-free sensor that will output digitally (hi or lo) so I can use a PLC to communicate with it. If sensor reads that the distance is greater than 9in, then it outputs high to the plc. What kind of sensor am I looking at? Displacement sensor? Most displacement sensors...

I'm just curious, what kind of application are you building this circuit for?

    Three Phase Power Supply

Thanks for your input, This project is at work and there's only one EE in our facility. The cap itself, seems ridiculously huge and expensive. I found a manufacturer for a 1000uF rated at 1kV for $350 (min. purchase is 25) and I only needed 4. I considered buying things off the shelf and put...

    Three Phase Power Supply

I've been working on this project for a good one month and having only one EE mentor is quite troublesome when they're busy. I figured, the EE forum would be best to help me out with my project. I need to design a power supply that will take in 3 phase, 460-480V, 35A and output a single phase...
