    Reboiler process design size'ing

Hi Chusker15 I will try and give answers to your question, but given that we are effectly starting from scratch most will be blank. Hot oil. We can heat it to 300 deg c. Two units on site one at 1.76MW other at 0.76MW. Good point about using bottoms for pre heating feed, but would we not...

Separating petrol and diesel via SG

Yes I agree with you djack, i think the centrifuge way is a while off yet! SO on with my distillation project. We will be looking at boil-ups of approx 7 t per hour. Many things to thing around like. Can our hot oil supply this and the other stills? Batch or continueous? Modify current or...

Separating petrol and diesel via SG

Hi New project just been dumped on me! Need budget costs and proposal by next week! Will be dealing with 70 million L per year of petrol / diesel mix. This comes about at the interface following product changes in line trasfers. We currently on site do not have that capacity so are looking...

Calculation of expansion of hot material cooling in tank

Hi I wish it was garlic flavoured butter! We reprocess and distill all wastes containing solvents, from paints printing inks, vinaly products etc etc. So receive drums,IBC tankers of MIXED materials. Stream A is drums vaced into Vessel X. at ambient temp. Stream B is still base residue x...

Calculation of expansion of hot material cooling in tank

Hi I need some urgent help on the following. We have a 18m3 7bar/full vac rated vessel that has a spring PRV of set pressure 125 psi and 175 l/min rated discharge. What I need advice on is calculating required discharge rate i.e. is our PRV correct. Material is introduced into the vessel via...

    Pressure drop along a line.

3 points why we will NOT have a volcano! 1 In directly we already preform this task! We currently vac out from one tank into a road tanker. Road tanker drives to other side of site, and blows slurry up into tank. Project is to remove need for tanker i.e install pipeline. Therfore we already...

    Pressure drop along a line.

We are blowwing up into the base of the tank (12m high) i.e through the slurry. The tank is vented to atms, with plenty of open area. Only when the tank is nearing full would there be any possiblty on entrainment.

    Pressure drop along a line.

Hi I used a flow rate of 30,000 L/hr. Based on transfering approx 8,000 L in ~15 mins.

    Pressure drop along a line.

Hi I have been posed a question by my EH&S manger, so looking for quick reply! I have calculated pressure required to move a slurry along a line by pressurising a pressure rated tank, connected to a 6" line approx 100m long and 18m head, to a tank vented to atms. The MAX pressure I have...
