Hi all,
Johnny HS reply has already give the answers. Ijust want to add a bit more.
Typically, all electrical equipments shall be gorunded on the dirty earth and all instrument shall be ground at clean earth.
But if we have mix of Flameproof (EEx d) and IS (EEx i) instrument, we need two...
I've already sent the question to Crosby last week, while waiting for the answer I'm trying my luck here.
Yup, I'm going for Pilot PSV. I'm quite concern about the sizing? yes we can use software to size it but will it be recognized by any std?
Guys,
API 526 is the standard reference for PSV sizing. But as per my awareness, it's only up to ANSI 2500 rating.
If we got a PSV at a pipeline (e.g. Gas Re-injection Flare) at API 10,000 psi rating, how do we size it? Does API 526 still applicable?
The pipe flanges can be refered to API 6A...
Hi all,
Motor actuated control valve shall have limit switch, but for pneumatic and hydraulic usually all SDV will have limit switch but not necessarily for Control Valve?
Any comments?
Thanks
Dear all,
I beleive that taking the accuracy required for the Wet Gas meter will be called the uncertainty. Is it the correct practise?
How do we determine an accuracy of a Wet Gas meter since it's two phase. Meter that works fine with gas usually doesn't do so for liquid. I'm going to take...
Hi guys,
Flowmetering is new to me. I come acroos my company standard document, and it stated that for an oriface plate, is shall be ANSI 300 as minimum.
According to that, if the pipeline is using ANSI 150 pounds, but the oriface plate still need to be ANSI 300. Any technical reason for that...
As a continuity to this thread.
Safety-Relief Valve can be used for both liquid and gas/vapour serivce.
Liquid and gas is using a diffrent reference for the specific gravity (SG).
How did they size the valve oriface since SG is one of the element to calculate it?
Really appriciate your...
Dear all,
I think I've come across some statement in ASME VIII that body and bonnet shall be in different material (please correct me if I'm wrong).
It there any technical reason for this? as per my current understanding, same material will ensure similar Pressure-Temperature rating.
Any body...
Dear all,
I'm seeing a document that denotes a membrane actuator. I've never know it before. Is it the other name for Diaphragm Actuator?
If it's not. I would like to get a good reference of these membrane actuator for my study?
I also welcome any comment regarding a selction of actuator for...
Thanks guys,
I just want to confirm it before making decision to saperate it.
Well, I'm thinking of using The Reflex Level Gauge with Guided Wave radar type of Level Transmitter. Since my application density is varied in some range. Any comment on this?
Hi all,
I always come across integrated Level Gauge (magnetic type) with Transmitter (usually magnetostrictive) in market.
Some times, we cannot use magnetic type of Level Gauge thus selecting option of reflex type or trasnparent type (genrally known as Flat Glass Level Gauge).
Has anybody...
Thanks a lot guys..
