    SOLVED, NX2206: where's a simple FEA simulation ?

Update: it turns out FEA Simulation was hidden because I was running a local installation of NX with fewer components. Our corporate Network installation of NX has FEA. I've also been given the opportunity to submit a ticket to get my local installation updated with the capability.

    SOLVED, NX2206: where's a simple FEA simulation ?

@cowski, thank you - those are the icons I'm looking for, but I couldn't see anything like them before I started turning groups on the Applications ribbon off and on. I still don't see them, even after turning everything (ship design, Route, Mold and Die etc.) back on. I'll confirm that our...

NX12 Mfg mult-axis milling : Variable Contour Surface Area & grid errors

Where I am: I have an inch assembly in a mm master model of a freeform, but primarily-continuous, design. I am doing multi-axis milling programming. I have to do various geometry additions to the component because of limitations in the physical production process. I am creating extra, also...

NX12 (or NX9+) Reverse Engineering / Detect Primitives : How do you clear or hide color codes?

My best guess about how Detect Primitives works is that it makes a second copy of your facet body with the color codes included. I'm guessing at that, because now there are two. One of them looks color coded during the selection process and one does not. Here is my problem: when I look for a...

    spline from points, NX7.5.5

That's it! I had reset my CSYS yesterday, decided not to save due to lack of progress, and then my CSYS went back to the larger assembly's location. I just recommended this page to a colleague Thanks!

    spline from points, NX7.5.5

Sven and Cowski, this sequence: insert->curve->spline select through points select single multiple segments, degree 3 select Points From File select the file and click OK specify no constraints, and/or specify automatic slope the curve is now created. You should see the curve now. I don't see...

    spline from points, NX7.5.5

Thanks for all the knowledgeable replies. Sorry, I probably cannot show a picture. Selection filter: I believe I checked that, but I cannot recheck it now for reasons related below. Sven: Thanks to you for the same level of detail I offered. I am now getting a different behavior from NX...

    spline from points, NX7.5.5

To be more clear: I can't create a spline with the above method, and I'm looking for a method that works. I need something exact, not a fit spline. I understand there may be slope or tangency uncertainties, but I would like to start with the default geometry that NX would create from my point set.

    spline from points, NX7.5.5

sequence: spline through points points from file, select file OK to proceed single segment OK Chain from All Then I'm asked to select start point, but I can't pick my new points, even though I can see them. Any advice? thanks
