    torque

torque basically like you say the fine thread gives the bolt more leverage to tighten the bolt or stretch it than the coarse thread which has a steeper angle and tries to sretch the bolt more per turn resulting in a higher torqe needed to make the one turn than the fine thread needs to stretch...

Reason for tandem master cylinder for breaking

who takes a car out of gear when braking????

    torque

why is the torque higher on a coarse thread bolt than a fine thread bolt of same dia and length? as needed to do the same job.

Can a brake rotor warp because of overtightening?

frankee of course overtighening the wheel will distort the rotor and cause it to run with a side to side wobble and cause a brake vibration when applued

Control freewheeling in GM transmissions (4L60-E)

daxcar i havent had time to think a lot about the overrun clutches but think about this avenue of thought use a solenoid to feed ovr run circuit and have it applied but cut off electrical with a small circuit which would reconize the voltages appied to the 2 solenoids that give o/d u might have...

BRAKES Z28 STILL BELIEVE OVER RUN CLUTCHES BURNT OR STRIPT. DAXCAR HAVE TO DUE MORE THINKING ON A WAY TO DO THIS SIMPLE. OLD EDSEL HAD PUSH BUTTON ELECTICAL SHIFT POSITION IN THE CENTER OF STEERING WHEEL. I WAS FORD SVC MNGR AND DIDNT WORK ON THESE BUT IBELIEVE IT HAD SOME KIND OF MOTOR AT THE...

Control freewheeling in GM transmissions (4L60-E)

BRAKES Z28 ON YOUR 321 SHIFT MANUALLY IT SHOULD HOLD BACK IN 2,1 POSITION DOES IT SHIFT TO 1 FROM 2 IT SHOUD NOT TILL APPROX 20 OR LESS APPROX IF IT DONT HOLD IN ANY GEAR THE THE OVERRUN ARE NOT HOLDING IF YOU DID THIS SHIFTING A LOT AS SOMEONE SAID YOU MAY HAVE TOOK THEM OUT YOU DONT HAVE TO...

TO BRAKES Z28 AND ALL INTERESTED IS IT 4L60 OR 4L6OE COLD BE EITHER IN 93 BOTH WORK THE SAME EXCEPT ELECTRONIC CONTROLL OF VALVES AND PRESSURE REGULATOR. OD POS STARTS IN LOW LOW ROLLER CLUTCH HOLDING WITH FORWARD CLUTCH HOLDING INPUT SPRAGUE HOLDINGPOWER FLOW IS THRU FOWARD CLUTCH AND SPRAGUE...

    Shifting linkage adjustment

1941 chev had vac assisted shift om the main lever with a second lever to change range of main lever from r/1 to2/3 what did you cut? OR WAS THE VAC CYL REMOVED IF YOU CUT THE MAIN LEVER AND IT SHIFTS HARD YOU MAY TRY SHORTENING THE ONE ON THE COLOUMN .I BELIEVE I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. I...

low roller clutch -function is to allow coasting when you slow down in 2nd or3rd and it down shifts to low. and you are not accelerating. you would get a lunge when it does if it wasnt there. if you dont want to coast you must apply the low and reverse clutches (down in the case in rear)low...

    27 spline 4l60

later units have more brgs instead of washers, larger input shafts, early valve bodies had mechanical and electical control of lock up. some elec was from computer and some used a special vac switch which opened under high vac or low vac. you need to get help on this unit in several important...
