Our company is starting to look at multi-shot molding to reduce assembly and extra part costs. Does anyone know of any websites or literature to review mold and part design issues?
Most design guides I've seen use a 50% to 60% rib to wall ratio, and illustrate a 90° rib to wall figure. Question is, how do most designers check rib to wall when the rib intersects the wall at an angle? Do you just check the rib thickness? Or do you check the hypotenuse of the intersection?
