Where is the solid edge engineering reference tab

Yes, I've discovered that is what's causing the problem. Guess if I want to use it, I'll need to be the 1st one at work :-)

Where is the solid edge engineering reference tab

I've seen this tab available on occasion when I am modeling a part, but can't get it to appear now. How do I access it please?

How to show alternate assembly positions in my draft?

KENAT, I'll give them a call, thanks.

How to show alternate assembly positions in my draft?

Thanks guys. I guess that's way I'll have to do it. When I used Solidworks, there was a feature for that, and I expected Solid Edge to have the same.

How to show alternate assembly positions in my draft?

I have a model of a valve body, with a shuttle valve that is either pushed in or pulled out. In my assembly model I have 2 configurations (if that's the right term) of the model, one with the valve pushed in and one pulled out. I created this by changing the value on one of my mates in the...

Forgot a part in an exploded view

Thanks guys. I'll try that. I was hoping I could simply drag the forgotten part into the proper explode group in the tree, but I guess not.

Forgot a part in an exploded view

Hi, I'm new to exploded views. I'm doing them manually and on a couple occasions I realized that I missed a part during my selection. Is there a way I can include that missed part in an event group that has already been created?

Flow lines hidden in exploded model show up in the draft?

Bad news. I can do "draw in view" and change the color of the unwanted flow lines to white, but if the drawing needs updated, all the colors revert to black and I have to do it all over again. Same thing happens if I delete the lines too. Any more ideas?

Flow lines hidden in exploded model show up in the draft?

Changing the color to white works, and it does print out ok, but it's a lot of work. I hope the update fixes this.

Flow lines hidden in exploded model show up in the draft?

I have hidden some excess flow lines in my exploded model, but when I make the draft, all the flow lines that I've previously hidden are showing up. How can I fix this? Thanks.Soldedge ST2

How to get file properties from a part to populate a draft document?

Ok, Got it now. Used call out, but just clicked in the general area where I wanted the text to be. Once the "error: No Reference" showed up, I was able to move it to the proper location. Apparenly my machine's graphics are so slow, that when I was clicking to place the call out, nothing...

How to get file properties from a part to populate a draft document?

KENAT, Thanks, I understand that's how it's supposed to function. My problem is getting the fields laid out and linked. I saw the property text button was available when using a callout, but I need to do this with (I think) a text box so the information will land in the correct locations...

How to get file properties from a part to populate a draft document?

Thanks guys, That would work for call outs if I had something on a print to point to, but I'm trying to use this to fill in my title block fields. At the moment this is just a blank draft template with only a tile block.

How to get file properties from a part to populate a draft document?

Hi, I'm learning Solid Edge, and am trying to set up a drawing/draft template that will have information that is pulled from part or assembly file properties, such as the part title, part number, date, and author, automatically fill in the title block of my drawing. In the past, using...
