Howdy,
handleman
<from mechanical design engineer and office SW guru to more of a supervisory role>
Congratulations - if you pick up on this new role as well as you did SW VBA, I'm sure you will be very good at it. :-)
As I was reading this, I was thinking the same thing as fcsuper.

Howdy tummen,
I have just built around Jim Sculley's macro feature method. Automatically adding Driven Dimensions from the Origin/Planes to the CofG point. The point is updated at each rebuild (Ctrl + Q) and is unaffected by which side of the Plane the C of G ends up on. The Driven Dimensions...
Howdy,
The problem you are having may be related to the fact that SolidWorks Planes don't recognize a positive and negative side (all dimensions are displayed as positive. If you try to cross over the Plane from one side to the other the dimension is still a positive number (you can't control...
Howdy,
Don't you hate that! The SW default is to not check the box "Keep Linked to BOM" when a view is created. Attached is a macro that finds all the views on all the sheets associated with the BOM. It's set up for SW 2007. Sorry I never had a copy of SW 2008, so I can't change the library...
Howdy,
That's what I was afraid you might say. Some day I'll get to upgrade here. Until then all I can suggest is for you to create a new macro and copy and paste the code into the new module. Also attached is a VSTA SW2010 version I created on a Windows XP machine.
Thanks

Howdy,
Well - I'm so glad I started that sentence with "I could be wrong, but," :-). Thanks for bring me up to date on that CBL.
Deepak your code worked great for me when I added the "." before the "DXF", like ".DXF".
Thanks

Howdy,
I'm glad you like the macro. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to do much for others outside the company I work for. I'd be glad to share anything I may have done though.
I could be wrong, but, I'm pretty sure SolidWorks will only generate a *.dxf file from an existing *.slddrw...
Howdy,
Attached is a macro that might have some code you'd be interested in. This macro won't actually work for you unless you change it to point to your Template names and locations.
Hope this helps

Howdy handleman,
WELL - That sounds like a challenge to me :-).
You could be right though. OOo Calc is completely different from M$ Excel. Even though Calc can be set to open any .xls files and has a complete Save As .xls translator, I've not seen the ability to just use a group of cells...
Waidesworld,
I was just sitting here wondering - How could I make this happen (use Calc with SW)? I was going to start asking in some OOo forums if anybody thinks it's possible. I used to know someone that claimed he could write code to make any two programs work together. I'm not knowledgeable...
Howdy,
It's really a shame. Shame on SolidWorks. They sell a product with many of the finest features that won't work without your also purchasing M$ Excell.
Bummer :-(

Howdy swforge,
I had this happen to me recently with a fairly large assembly. I had already created the drawing with many views. After doing some editing in the assembly suddenly most of the sections seemed to have lost there focus and I could not create a new section. I discovered the problem...
Howdy Chris,
Thanks for your response.
WELL! - "old school" - I'd be offended, but, that's a good thing around here :-).
I feel I have the answer to my question though :-).
Thanks All
