Kenat,
MIL-STD-100E SECTION 704.5 "DELETING ITEMS" has the same wording as the DRM. As you know MIL-STD-100E was superceded by ASME Y14.100, Y14.24, Y14.34M AND Y14.35M.
I think ASME Y14.35M SECTION 8 will have this same wording...unfortunately our copy at my job is missing this...
Form, fit and function only applies to parts being revised.
In your case only the parts list is being revised.
Per ASME Y14.100: Items to be deleted shall retain the same Find number. The nomenclature shall be erased and the word “DELETED” inserted in the nomenclature or description column...
uGlay,
This is a long shot...Activate the view with the problem...in the line format toolbar toggle the color display mode...see if this fixes the problem.

rmetsger,
In the Drawing view properties check the box "Keep linked to BOM" and choose the associated BOM. In table properties of BOM make certain "Follow assembly order" under Item numbers is checked. This sequence usually fixes this type of problem I rin into.

The DRM 10th edition states...production release drawings to have letter rev's A, B, C ...pre-release drawings will have rev's as X1, X2, X3...

We only use fractions on some purchased parts...for example a tapered rubber plug size #5 in the McMaster-Carr catalog shows sizes in fractions. So the checker wants the SCD to show the same units as the spec.
CorBlimeyLimey - Thanks for mentioning ANSI STD...I'll use that as leverage to keep...
I'm using SW2004...is there a way to remove the inch symbol after fractions. Our title block has a note that says all dimensions are in inches so having the inch symbol after the fraction is redundant...plus we have a checker that is a control freak and he will not let it go by and yes I could...
The custom property $PRP:"SW-Sheet Scale" returns a scale delimter as 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 etc.. I want a custom property scale delimiter to return 1/1, 1/2, 2/1 etc...
There is a way in the document properties - detailing - view labels to change the scale delimiter to 1/1, 2/1 in the detail views and...
Heckler,
1/1, 2/1... is the US customary per the drawing requirements manual. I'ver always used 1:1 2:1 etc. But this compant I'm working for now insist that I use 1/2, 1/1 etc.

Hi,
I'm working for a new company that uses US customary scale instead of the ISO std. As you all know Solidworks automatically uses the scale ratio with a colon "1:2".
Is there a way for SW to automatically insert the fractional "1/2" using custom properties?
Thanks,
