    Sheet Templates vs. Drawing Templates

Matt, At my company (your former) the drawing template has the parts list in it but the sheet template does not. That is the main difference between our templates. Steve NX 8.5.3.3

    ASSEMBLY POSITION SYMBOL

There is, but since I don't know your setup you may have to talk with your administrator. If your options are not loaded from a company profile under the Saved Load options section there is a Save as default option. At our company we can't change the default but I don't know your setup. NX vs. Creo

[ponder] I believe our user community doesn't want to switch, so we need to prove the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence. There is the obvious reason that we have everything in NX, but that doesn't seem to be good enough. Steve NX 8.5.3.3

    NX vs. Creo

I think they are looking at Creo 3 but obviously we wouldn't role that out right away. Frankly is doesn't make sense to me. I think NX is one of the best CAD packages around. Steve NX 8.5.3.3

    NX vs. Creo

If I had to guess it is new and shiny, and we don't know it's faults. Also I'm sure cost is in there somewhere. Steve NX 8.5.3.3

    NX vs. Creo

My present employer is considering a switch from NX (which we have been using since Unigraphics V9) to Creo. I am not real excited about the thought of this, but am curious if anyone has any pro's and con's? What does NX do better than Creo and vice versa? Thanks Steve NX 8.5.3.3

    Out of date family members

Thanks, that helps when you have the template loaded in your session, but what if I don't have it loaded? Steve NX 8.5.3.3

    Out of date family members

Is there an easy way to tell if a part family member is out of date? It appears that information->assemblies->Family Report only mentions out of date if there is some sort of selection criteria. For those members that do not have selection criteria it does not state if they child is out of...

Automatic Flat Pattern Annotation on Siemens NX

If you go to the style of the view there should be a flat pattern tab. Click on that and at the bottom you will see check boxes to turn of the automatic labels. Steve NX 8.5.3.3

    NX 9.0.1.3, Broken View issues

The only reason I mentioned suppressing the break to see the hidden annotation was to explain how you can remove them. GTAC told us that we need to expand our view and add the dimensions that are dissappearing from the drawing in the view itself. For example a chamfer dimension will not work...
