After creating a part or assembly, I am running a simulaiton study, I am trying to use the report feature to create a report with results. I am running the report and the process runs 15-20 seconds, hangs and crashes. I will post the same thing on the simulation board. I have done a pack an...
Has anyone had success trying to model a weldment (as an assembly) inserting an assembly feature of a fillet weld. Then running simulation to look at the results including the stress in the welds. Is this even possible.
I am trying to open .stp files and solidworks is crashing each time. I do not have administrator rights and will not get them Company policy. Is there a work around for this. I know for a fact the files can be opened by systems with administrator rights, the filse are good, but I am losing my...
I would have liked to copy one fully defined pattern within the hole wizard to a second location. What I had to do was to duplicate the hole placement pattern and dimensions to a second location on the same plane.
Within the hole wizard is there a way to copy the sketch (construction lines with relations) for hole locations/pattern and paste to a second location?

Most of what we do is automated remote tooling not die sets or molds.
We have tried the Solidworks 64 bit software and matching Os, for large assemblies, and found it unstable. Are we missing something. We need some significant improvements in large assembly performance. We are using 64bit xp with 32 bit SW?
How dificult would it be for a new Catia user to learn the basic system I have about 9000 solidworks hours and know machine designe extensively as well as the modeling background. My question is targeted at the transition from SW to Catia.
Thanks in advance.
