    contact coefficient for thermal analysis

Salmon2, Thanks for your question to clarify what I am trying to accomplish. I would like a reasonable heat transfer coefficient. Thanks

    contact coefficient for thermal analysis

I have a thermal study (SW Sim/Cosmos) in which to begin with I have assumed bonded contact faces for the transfer of heat, essentially 100% transfer (as I understand it). I am now trying to get a more accurate study with inputing a closer to real life heat transfer between faces. Does anyone...

Valve test bench setup, quick coupling

thanks for the link, our MOC is SA-350 for the Body.

Valve test bench setup, quick coupling

We need to test each valve, and for the local regulating body only the shell test of 150% of working pressure is needed. but to test to ap598 we need a closure test to both sides of the ball valve. 0 leakage for both tests. I'm not sure what you mean "MOC". Our quantities will be quite...

Valve test bench setup, quick coupling

Hello, tryng to set up a test bench that is easy to use, is there a commercially available coupler that I can use on 2"npt thread (internal and external) for my hydro shell test at 7500psi and a gas closure test at 80-100psi? We are introducing a low cost ball valve, have very tight margins...

    ball valve retaining nut torque

I uploaded a detail view of the ball, seals and retaining nut to give more info. The seals are made of Ertalyte, we don't have a controlled-compression gasket as we were designing without one. The pressure rating is 5000psi. Thanks for looking into it, hope the new info gives better idea what...

    ball valve retaining nut torque

Have a small ball valve (1" inch bore, 1.875" ball) and need to have a torque spec for sealing/seating the ball and seals with a retaining nut threaded in. We aren't a valve company, designed one as an add on to another product line.
