Transitioning from ISO 9001-1994 to -2000

I have been through the transition before. It was not nearly as difficult as I first thought it was going to be. The reference document has an appendix or listing in the back that relates old to new section numbers.

    Nano-scale wire insulation useful?

Exactly what I was getting to bogeyman. Thus if those space eating components are not used, this nano-thin insulation will breakdown immediately. This is a large part of your problem flamefront.

I need to measure the characteristic impedence of short coax

Wow! This is my first post of a question and I didn't expect to get as many answers nor as qualified answers as these. Thanks to all of you. These wires are in the 40 to 44 ga coax wires in ultrasound probes. They are typically 50 ohm and I suspect some are 75 but some I've checked indicate 96...

I need to measure the characteristic impedence of short coax

I need to measure the characteristic impedance of some short pieces of coax. I've tried a Ten-Tec product but don't have confidence with it. I've heard of an antenna smith but have not been able to confirm that it will do the job. These pieces of coax are typically about 5' long and are...

Need to make control circuit diagrams for troubleshooting

I know what you mean about Visio but I was just looking at an "engineering template" for the program that looks much better than what my older version has. Maybe an upgrade... It was on the microsoft site and may have a free time trial. Good luck.

    Nano-scale wire insulation useful?

I'm new to this but it seems like there is really not very much conversation here about the voltages generated in a coil when the circuit is opened. If this is a relay or solonoid application, very much care would have to be dedicated (taking up more room) to prevent the coil from shorting the...

Cleaning of Active implantable medical Device (as per ISO)

Any results yet? ISO does not have a standard. In ISO you write the standard you want to perform to and it becomes your standard. However, FDA does have standards based on the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 820.1 and the GMP regulation. I think sections CP7382.830 and 7382.830A may be of...
