Hi guys, got a brain teaser for you. I am trying to write code for a delay routine. Could someone tell me for a PIC16f84 @ 4MHz how long the lenght it takes to execute one line of code. I just used a "for" loop for the dealy and 1us for each instruction and put in the appropriate value but it...
nah i don't think that is the case it is just that is when she noticed the batteries weren't lasting. COuld be many things. Not too worried about it. thanks for your time
Hey itsmoked,
The problem was, the cd player has a built is charger in it wo when the adapter is plugger in, the batteries charge, however, the user made a mistake of putting non-rechargable batteries in while charging and after that the battery life was drastically redeced. As it...
k, i put this post up too soon, i compared it with another cd player and they are pretty much the same. THe problem was that this cd player seems to suck the batteries dry in like an hour so thought i would check current draw.
Hey guys,
Bit of a lame question: Was wondering if anybody knows a "typical" current draw for a portable cd player. I am in the midst of troubleshooting one that draws apporx. 300mA in play mode. That seems high to me. Is it not?
Cheers
So what you are saying is that you enjoy itP-). I am just re-learning my C code as i haven't done it in awhile and i am familiar with PIC's back in my school days. So it is just for educational purposes. And yes I am aware of bouncy switches.
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a site that explains, in detail, embedded C programming for PIC microcontrollers. I am trying to learn how to manipulate data on PORTS such as see if a switch has been pressed and stuff like that. It seems quite trivial and i can do it in...
That is what I was thinking VE1BLL. The first signal has to be the correct one. However with all the other technology out there it is only worth me doing just for the "heck" of it. Those rangerfinders IRstuff reffered me to do just the trick and they are cheap.
Cheers
Thanks johnwm, it was a CMOS jumper that was missing so that problem is fixed. It seems to be running well so far. I set it to high performance mode and don't seem to be freezing up so hopefully that is it for this chapter. Thanks for the help guys.
P.S Does updating the BIOS going to help...
Thanks for the reply and sorry for the lack of information. Here is some more detail:
-Installed XP on a formatted 20GIG harddrive
-When I turn on computer it sometimes beeps at me and says "CMOS configured wrong" or "CMOS battery low" and it gives me options on how to continue such as "F1 for...
