Convergence issue for a model with driver nodes

The model considered is a part of a global structure. That's why assumed the rotations may need to be included while translations are constrained.

Convergence issue for a model with driver nodes

I am working on a model, where I have few independent nodes (driver) kinematically coupled to few nodes on a part (driven). The first step is gravity loading. I have constrained the the driver nodes (3 DOF). In the second step, I will be using velocity time history (Implicit Dynamics) for the...

How to get Section Point Outputs for shell elements in Abaqus 6.10 ?

Thanks. How do I specify the section points in the input file while requesting the output? Is there a specific keyword for that? I tried looking in to the Abaqus manual, but could not find any. For example I currently have, *Element Output, Elset=ABCD S,PE It seems the output will be written...

How to get Section Point Outputs for shell elements in Abaqus 6.10 ?

I am trying to get PEMAG value for a shell element in Abaqus 6.10. I understand the default is top and bottom section points. However, I am struggling to get the output at other section points e.g. mid or 3. Is there a way to do that in CAE (only top and bottom are showing when using the...

    Verify Section Forces

For both solid and shell elements. I have extracted the section forces, but looking for a way to verify them.

    Verify Section Forces

Hello all, Is there a way to verify the section forces for a transient/dynamic analysis in abaqus? It seems using F=ma, with acceleration from the analysis is not giving me similar results. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Connector Moment and Forces at Hinge

Nodes are defined in ascending order I.e. 1,2,3 El1: 1,2 EL2: 2,3 CT outputs are requested for El1 and El2. As I mentioned, the moments and forces are significantly different for two elements. Makes me wonder how the CT outputs are calculated for the elements. :(

Connector Moment and Forces at Hinge

Hello all, I am having some issues with the moment and forces at hinge connector. I am running a dynamic implicit analysis, and extracting time history output of CTF and CTM. CTM along axial direction is zero which makes sense. But I am trying to understand how abaqus calculates the moment in...
