I thought so (I believe that Midway is low).
I already downloaded the UFC Structural section. After I read you post, I had an "Of Course they have it!" moment and searched for the reference. I'm sure it'll prove valuable for some of the more remote locations.
Thanks for the resource.
Does anyone know the Sds and Sd1 values for Guam and/or Midway Atoll (soil class B)? I am trying to determine the seismicity for these regions. The USGS site notes that Guam is available, but I was not able to generate a value using the building coordinates that I have.
Is anyone familiar with the evolution of the wording (see below) which exempts certain existing buildings from seismic evaluation requirements?
The 2002 version of "Standards of Seismic Safety for Existing Federally Owned and Leased Buildings" (more commonly known as ICSSC RP 6), Section 1.3...
Thank you, everyone.
PackerFan-can you send me your post directly? I work for a federal agency and they have blocked the url where your sample is posted.

Thanks, folks. As I noted, I do not have any reference material in my office and was hoping to look at these today. I was hoping someone had posted a pdf or could point to a sample on line that I could follow.
I will dig through my reference material in my attic when I return home and pull out...
Can someone point me to a sample calc for determining the tension force in an anchor bolt for a base plate subject to overturning forces? I need to determine if an as-built arrangement of four 1/2" diameter anchor bolts is adequate. I already did a quick check using a simple couple to determine...

The Rhode Island DOT has a special provision for this. It may be posted on their website; if not respond and I'll see if I have an electronic copy that I can send (it may be a pdf file).
Thanks for the information. I used timber blocking bearing directly on the top chord angles, and included working loads requirements for the staging and its components.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a detail for temporarily jacking and shoring a steel joist? I am a structural engineer so I can design the components; what I am looking for is a detail to start from. The contractor has pipe staging, so I need a detail from there up.
Thanks for any help...
