Hello Sizzer, only way to know for sure would be to get a sample checked. If the material really is from Uddeholm which is by no means guaranteed even with a TC in China, then you shouldnt have a problem. I am in China everymonth and would be happy to have a look.

the main problem with die tooling edm is that stress relief cutting does not take place first. in addition its recommended to cut 3 times with a reduction in current and then grind away whats left of the white layer.
this way there is no reduction in properties.

Its also listed in the DIN EN 10302:2002:09 ann the DIN EN 10028-2:2003:09
