Hello people.
I just noticed something interesting. I have a lot of colleagues that aren't native English speakers, but NX doesn't support Bulgarian UI. I can't saw that they are bad engineers, but this brings to difficulties during their daily work.
One of the conditions of software...
It's simple. The provider installed the license server and 1 workstation. Then he gave us the installation DVD and we installed the others.
In case of problem we call to them and receive an answer - "read the documentation". So this is the actual support here. We have paid for NX5 support (36...
:) NX6.0.0.24
Where are the other drive methods?
It's just like the NX5's bug.
Any ideas?

Sorry. I haven't. :(
I didn't called to GTAC because the company that I work for, have stoped the support. Because the NX-provider wasn't quite correct.
But I will try it in NX 6.0.0.24 later this week and I will post what's the deal.

Hello people. :)
I wish to share my experience about NX vs. I-deas too.
I used to work in a company using I-deas 9-12. Later I've got a job in NX-using company, and I have great experience in the both of CAD products.
I see a lot of functionality in I-deas that NX doesn't have. I'm sorry to say...
Hello. Here it goes again the subject about NX printing.
Now I have a new HP printer and I'm trying to print using NX5.0.2. The printer model is HP Officejet Pro 8600.
I open the printer administration dialog, but there isn't this printer model in the list of printers.
I've tried to print using...
OK. How can I verify the installed sub-components (sub-modules) of NX5?
As far as I can see - I don't have any choice during installation.

Hi naida. This is a good question.
Last year (June 2007) I w?nt to seminar in SpaceCAD LTD - the official provider of NX and Solid Edge in Bulgaria.
And I asked them about "backplotting" in NX5. They confirmed that NX5 has this feature, but they didn't show me how to use it.
So I'm quite...
I follow NX5 CAST steps in "Surface Area Cutting".
And I see the following instructions:
This is OK. But here I see a problem:
There isn't that kind of drive method. You can see the applied picture. NX license is absolutely LEGAL!
Later I've checked the same strategy in NX4 and I see that...
Actually "substitute" works. But I thought that there is "smarter" way to do this. Maybe some kind of context menu: "Replace part family member".
Anyway...
Thanks Hudson!

I have the following idea - to create a part family (.prt file). Then to insert one of te members into assembly.
Ok! This side of the task is done. But now I want to replace this part using other part family member (from the same part family).
Is there a way to do this, and how?
Regards: Dimo...
Here it is an usergude for NX3, but the basics are the same in NX5.
