Is this functionality going to require a special license? I notice pocket blend was available in NX9 but is now part of NX10's Aero Design package requiring a separate license.

the few times I've gone to the trouble to do this I've had problems as well.I couldn't remember the work around so I created file to try again.
First the issue of creating/extracting a solid from your tool. Here's the explanation from the Siemens forum:
"From the Tool view of the operation...
I sketched some circles on faces and that seemed to work

I'm not sure why it didn't work but I have noticed synchronous can be fussy sometimes.

if you scroll down the pdf you'll see all kinds of standards for 5 axis machines. I didn't realize the model I attached was for a 4 axis horizontal.

The BCL file was generated from the CLS using a post CLS2CLF in NX's legacy GPM. GTAC's has pretty much confirmed the code. At this point I guess I'm looking for tips or advice from anyone who's used it.

Our company recently purchased an old Cincinnati gantry that runs on BCL. If anyone out there is familiar with this output, please take a look at the attached code and tell me if this looks right. No one in our programming dept. has ever seen anything like it.
Thanks

What you're looking for is not all that unusual. The question is often asked in the form of "can I sweep a solid?", to which the answer is no, but there are work arounds. The people who are asking this question are looking for the same thing you are: to generate a model that acurately represents...
Later today I'll upload a file.
As for your other programmer, I'll never understand that mindset. There are exceptions of course, but for the most part the software does get better. Thread milling for example pre 7.5 is awful. It looks like it hasn't been touched since V14. And yet some...
