    stripped screw hole

What is the latest solution for a stripped screw hole in plastic, where a sheet metal type screw is used to assemble and hold parts together? I am looking for a solution other than using a larger size screw or adding a spring type nut. Thanks, Raul

    Need Tool Room Procedures

No I don't have anything to send except a few notes from my experience. A tool room is a lot like a lending library. Instead of books they check out tools. They are usually run by grouchy old guys( in a cage or room to prevent theft) that keep the drills sharp, the tools oiled to prevent rust...

    Manufacturing techniques

By experience I can only suggest: 1)divide the elements of the unit and place them in cells. A flow chart would breakdown the elements as, raw material, cutting, punching, breaking, sub assembly, soldering, cleaning, testing, reworking, re-testing, packaging and shipping. 2)the departments...

    Welding speeds/Energy levels

When it comes to teaching I use pictures and drawings for my students. I draw with AutoCad and make step by step drawings that an eight year old can understand. This is not to say anything negative about the student. Some people learn faster than others. Hope this helps. Raul

    schematic or transmitter

I am searching for a source; a radio transmitter using VHF or UHF signals on one frequency, with a selection of three frequencies. Power= DC. Range about 2 miles. Off the shelf would be great but a schematic will help. Thanks.

WELDING AND HEATREATING OF 6061 ALUMINIUM

Rinso, Sir; Setting your torch to a carborizing flame (lots of black smoke) apply a layer of this smoke to the aluminum you wish to treat. Now, adjust the flame of your torch to a normal welding flame and heat the carboned area of the aluminum until all of the carbon deposited on the aluminum is...

stripped screw holes in panel assembly

I am searching for a method, cheaper than using tinnerman nuts, to secure a panel assy with stripped screw holes. The panels were originaly assembled with "sheet metal" screws. We prefer to continue using SM scews. Options? Ideas? Thanks,
