Ah!
From reading what you've said, I figured out how to do it. Yes, select the Move command, select the view, then select a point on the drawing (usually the centre) using the intelli features, and then that will snap to the grid.
Excellent,
Anthony
Hi Beachcomber,
If one is a bit of a perfectionist (mad OCD person), it's important to be able to place the *base* part on snaps, just as any annotation is snappable. Often I have wanted to annotate a part in a very symmetric fashion, and it annoys me that I can't place the base part with the...
Hi all,
By turning on the grid and checking the relevant boxes, we can have dimensions / annotation snapping neatly to consistent spacing.
BUT when placing the *base* assembly view, it seems that this will not obey the snaps. Which is odd and VERY annoying!
Any opinions chaps?
Cheers,
Anthony
Hi chaps,
Yeah I've sorted it.
The thing I didn't realise is that when you do View->Background (and switch off the Working layer), there are 4 sheets available (via tabs at the bottom of the main window). And hence one can then modify each sheet individually.
Done.
Thanks to all,
Anthony
Hi Woody,
Thanks. I'm almost there, but there's a problem. Although I am using the A3 sheet, when I choose view background, SE will only let me adit the A4 sheet. Any idea why?
Anthony
Hi all,
Yet more questions, but I am certainly getting there with your help. SE is quite different from MDT.
1) How do I go about creating a drawing template file? At the moment I'm using the standard ISO draft template. In particular, how do I specify that a dimension's 'lead lines' DO NOT...
Hi Dy,
I'm not sure I understand...
Let's say I've just created the exploded view, and I want to save this assembly just as it is, so that when someone else opens the file, they will see the exploded view.
Could you explain a bit more?
Anthony
Hi chaps (again!)
Thanks for the help everyone has given me. This forum rules! So, to my latest problem:
I'm experimenting with creating exploded assembly views. Creating them seems easy... SE is very nice in this regard.
The problem I'm having is SAVING the assembly in a state of the...
Hi Beachcomber,
Excellent! - that works. One further question - when selecting a plane, and the arrow is pointing the wrong way, how do you flip its direction?
Cheers,
Anthony
Hi chaps,
When assembling parts together, I seem unable to access geometry which is 'inside' the given part. Is there an option to allow this. It's very annoying!
Cheers all,
Anthony
PS: I'm beginning to really like SE;)
