To lumenharold,
Exactly why I included the word "appropriately" .
Thanks so much for the advice. I have always known that FEA is not some CAD - like program that anyone without training or engineering education could just use willy nilly.
I understand where you are coming from.
Thanks
Thanks.
Unfortunately, I'm not versed in FEA nor do I have access to an FEA program.
Are there any on-line FEA free programs that I could learn and use appropriately out there on the Web?
Hi.
I am designing a glass shelf that is made of 3/4" thk tempered glass and is 23" wide by 26" deep (front edge to back edge). This shelf is supported on the sides of the shelf only at the very rear by 4 clamping type shelf brackets, 2 per side. The center to center distance between the clamps...
To IFRs, You said that you do 3d models in paperspace? That's impossible, the paperspace layout tab does not have a third dimension.
Also, I too was a hold out until I finally learned what PS was all about and have never wanted to go back. The greatest thing is that I have only one dimension...
Thanks Flores,
Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. It worked. The tangential lines which were my main concern are gone now. But on my simple model that I'm using for experimentation on this problem, a line that should be hidden is now visible. Sigh.
Thanks to everyone for their efforts...
smcadman,
I've been using AutoCAD since about rev 1. My point, about knocking it, was that after all of these years of development I don't believe it should be necessary to jump thru a bunch of gymnastics and commands just to remove lines on a fillet. The solid modeling fillet should inherently...
deemerfee, I don't see how solprof helps. Then again, I haven't ever used that command. I see where it asks me to removal tangential lines, but when I say yes I see no results. The lines are still there. Also, I don't want to flatten the object onto a 2d plane just to get rid of these lines by...
I use AutoCAD 3D modeling in the work I do. I want to know if anyone knows how to remove the line that results when you create, say, a radiused corner. This line appears at the transition from the flat surface and the start of the radiused corner. When you go to view your object in a viewport...
Thanks all! The convertpstyles command worked, after invoking it you just click on OK and your back to the ctb styles.
Great help! Hope I can help out oneday too.
Thanks Cenkos, but, that didn't work. When I went to Tools, Options, Plotting it was set at "use color dependent table".
and still the options in the plot style table area of the plot dialog box shows only stb's. And I can't get it to give me the ctb styles. I'm stumped.
Thanks for...
Can someone please tell me how to change my plot style table from a style table (.stb) to a color dependent (.ctb)table and/or vice versa? Right now in a particular drawing it has the STB options only and I'm trying to get back to my ctb tables that I usually use. This is a mystery (that its...
