Hello all,
I am looking at a new vertical machining center that has the Siemens 840D software. The seller of the machine can not tell me if it will accept a Solidworks file or not. Can anyone offer some assistance on if I would be able to send my Solidworks files to this machine?
Thanks in...
Thanks, looking forward to your return!

RacingD98 - can you take some screenshots of your step by step and post them here? If you're on 2014 and can still do it then we all should be able to do it. Or even a link to a short 30sec video would be great :)
Thanks

Maybe I am doing something wrong here.
I RMB click on an existing balloon and select "add to stack"
I drill down the tree of "drawing view1"
Nothing happens when I click on the item or the origin of the item in the tree

Hi ctopher,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately nothing seems to let me select an item from the BOM as the "stacked balloon" unless I am missing something. Because the Loctite, grease, etc, are hidden, there is no model to click on. If you click on the arrows on the left side of the BOM it...
We have drawings that list items like Loctite, grease, etc in the BOM. These are empty models with a part number so they appear in the BOM. Is it possible to add them to stacked balloons some how? Or, what about adding the BOM line item to the balloon attached to the nut, bolt, pin, etc. I...
Hi CBL,
I know about the release status but I was hoping for any feedback, even feedback about the pre-release version. 2012 was such a disaster we uninstalled and went back to 2011 SW and EPDM

Hello all,
We are contemplating jumping over 2012 (SW & EPDM) and going right to 2013. Does anyone have any feedback on EPDM 2013 stability?
Thanks,
PD

See attached for an idea of what I am trying to achieve with the "Indent function". I would like to have the part with 2 configs (crimped & un-crimped).

Hello all,
After watching several videos, reading the help file and different blog posts, and trying this for 2 days I must admit defeat and ask for help. I am trying to do a simple indent feature with no luck. The part file is attached (SW2011 SP5.0). For your reference, it is a multibody...
Hi CBL,

When viewing an assembly I like to see all components with the same wireframe color. When I open some assemblies some parts have black wireframe, some with white wireframe, etc. Is there a way to apply this setting to an assembly? Or even better, is there a way to "batch" apply a setting to...
