I use NX7, I think it's the same. If I forget to set the curve rule to Face Edges, I can pick the face to extrude, but it sends me into sketch if it's not set to Region Boundary Curve or Face Edges. -ph-

As a UG user since the 80's, it was hard enough to keep from reaching for the Transform button to move or copy, but why couldn't NX keep the move/copy pick choice at the end? Countless undo's because the last one was set for copy, or trace lines, or 12 copies when intention is a simple move etc...

Thanks John, I tried Shift-MB1, but it wouldn't pick solids, only components. Or the other way around... can't recall. BTW, has Substitute component moved? Right click on ANT this function seems to be missing.

How do you remove items from a reference set? NX6 has a completely different menu from NX5, and I see nothing resembling its function.

John, GTAC solved the selection filter issue. Delete the dialogmemory.dlx file from the system. Selection filter now remains "No Selection Filter" when choosing hide or transform, etc. -ph-
